Vectorio Jobs
Product Marketing & Technical Storytelling

Help us turn technology into a company
people cannot overlook.

Vectorio is a small, founder-financed deep-tech company in Berlin. We are building two software platforms with an unusually large ambition. Protor is our universal data engine, from ETL, streaming and SQL to complete applications, running on a Raspberry Pi as well as on distributed clusters. Indago makes millions of patents, publications, documents, code repositories and enterprise knowledge searchable and analysable locally.

Protor and Indago are built around the same conviction: Germany and Europe should be able to process, analyse and understand critical data without being forced to rent somebody else’s infrastructure.

None of that is abstract: 114 connectors and its own workflow language in Protor; 291 source connectors, 289 analysis tasks and six standalone applications in Indago.

Almost none of it has been told.

We want you to change that.

Your role

You will own a substantial part of how Vectorio is understood outside the company. You should be curious enough to want to understand what we are building and why it matters.

One day you might create a landing page for a new Indago application. The next, you may explain a Protor benchmark, develop a presentation for partners or investors, or turn a new feature into a story somebody outside our codebase can understand. You will keep our websites alive, develop product narratives, write articles and release notes, and create material for customers, partners, events and conversations.

You will also help develop our public voice. LinkedIn and X should show what we are building, learning and thinking about. We want to take positions, discuss technical and political questions, and connect with people who share an ambition for stronger technology and infrastructure in Europe.

You will have unusual freedom to shape this. That freedom comes with responsibility. If you see a topic, make something of it: research it, propose it, try it, publish it, improve it.

Who we’re looking for

We care less about your previous job title than about how you think and what you want to do with this role.

You might come from product marketing, technical writing, developer relations, journalism, communications or a technical discipline. What matters is that you enjoy understanding difficult things and turning them into clear, interesting stories.

You need very good German and English. You should be comfortable using modern AI tools for research, analysis, structuring and drafting without outsourcing your own judgement to them.

More importantly, we are looking for a certain attitude. You should be curious, independent and ambitious, comfortable taking responsibility and willing to pursue an idea that initially sounds slightly too large. We are building Vectorio right now. You get to shape what it becomes.

This role suits people who want responsibility very early and who weigh the work, the influence and the growth more heavily than a finished corporate apparatus. If you want to join early and help shape something meant to become substantially larger than it is today, this may be exactly right.

How we work

Vectorio is founder-financed. We fill roles based on what the company actually needs. We invest our money in products, people and growth, and we take every euro seriously.

In return, you work directly with the founder, have access to the technology, decisions and direction of the company, and can shape a visible part of what Vectorio becomes. Between an idea and its execution there is a conversation. Good arguments matter more than hierarchy.

We work flexibly, with at least one shared day a week in our Reuterkiez office. For a role that needs to understand our products and help develop our voice, spending time together matters.

The role starts at 30–40%, roughly two days per week. Compensation is €1,200–1,600 gross per month, depending on experience, equivalent to around €4,000 full-time. As Vectorio grows, the role should grow with it.

Applying

We do not need a cover letter.

Send us your CV or LinkedIn profile and two or three examples of things you have written, created or communicated. Even better, take a look at vectorio.io or indago.one and show us something you would tell differently. It could be half a page, a sketch, a new headline, a post or an idea that is entirely your own.

We want to see how you think, which stories you notice and where you would be braver than we are.

Applications from disabled and neurodivergent people are explicitly welcome. If you need particular working conditions, tell us and we will discuss what we can provide.
